Hello! Thank you for visiting our page and your interest in our Punjabi Sikh Wedding planner and guide! Although officially established in 2022, Royal Peacock Company has been in the making for a few years.

My husband and I got married in 2014, when Punjabi Sikh wedding handbooks, planners and guides did not exist. Instead, our wedding was planned with the assistance of our families and from those that already had gotten married. My wedding planning, like many brides, consisted of a binder, with tabs, pockets, spreadsheets and checklists. As our family and friends got married, we continued to assist in coordinating and planning weddings. My wedding binder was shared with friends and families in the subsequent years.

There were several common themes among all couples and their families. Where do we start? What are the traditions? Why do we have these traditions? One day, my husband commented that I should formally write a guidebook to help fellow Sikh brides and their families with their wedding planning process. At the time, I had a newborn baby and a full time job. There was a lot on the plate. However, life circumstances changed, making me realize I needed to follow my personal passions just as much as my regular daytime job. So one late night, I began to write, and continued to write every night in the following months, until this product was completed.

This book is a culmination of years of experience, months of research, late nights, and keeping up to date with current trends and customs in the Punjabi Sikh community. We respect all vendors and wedding planning companies and hope this book further guides our couples to make their wedding as stress free as possible. This planner can be used independently or in conjunction with your own hired wedding planner.
